New Lee District Rec Center Sprayground Reopening this Weekend


Our Special Harbor Sprayground Reopens This Weekend



Our Special Harbor Sprayground will reopen this weekend following a brief closure to address slippery surfaces. With an enhanced, slip resistant coating in place, the new facility is once again ready to provide cost free, cool fun. Staff encourages visitors to wear water shoes. The sprayground is located in the Family Recreation Area at Lee District Park in Franconia. Our Special Harbor was built by the Joey Pizzano Memorial Fund (JPMF) and is operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority.
Summer operating hours are as follows:


June 11th & 12th, 18th & 19th 11 – 7 p.m.
June 20th – September 5th 11 – 7 p.m.*
* Wednesday's hours of operations are 11-5 p.m.
Admission is free for families, individuals, and non-profit groups. 
The sprayground is located in the Family Recreation Area at Lee District Park, at the intersection of Rose Hill and Telegraph Roads. The zero-water-depth sprayground carries the theme of the Chesapeake Bay throughout the interactive water features and is fully-accessible for children of ALL abilities.
