Join in the neighborhood celebration of music and fun in Del Ray (Alexandria, VA)
Celebrating the rich diversity and talent of the Del Ray community the Fifth Annual Del Ray Music Festival will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Scheduled from 10am to 10pm on the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center Fields at 2701 Commonwealth Avenue, the Del Ray Music Festival includes music, food, games, and a chance to ring in the summer with your friends and neighbors.
The festival features a variety of music which have included reggae, jazz, blues, swing, folk, country, Celtic, and rock. The majority of the musicians who take the stage are residents of the neighborhood—something that makes this an extra special show for the performers and gives everyone a chance to hear some wonderful local talent.
In addition to the music, the day features games for the kids and adults and food from neighborhood favorites Buzz Bakery, Pork Barrel BBQ, Sapore D’Italia Pizzeria, Rita’s Water Ice, Artfully Chocolate Kingsbury Confections, and Taqueria Poblano.
