Monday, March 28 – Tavern Toddlers
Join us for a special program for toddlers (walkers through 36 months) and their caregivers at Gadsby's Tavern Museum, 134 N. Royal St. Tavern Toddlers features a weekly open play time in Gadsby's historic ballroom Mondays, excluding Federal holidays, through April 25 any time between 10:30 a.m. and noon. Saturday, March 26 – Wonders of Science
Explore the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum, 105-107 S. Fairfax St., through a tour and hands-on demos of 18th-century natural and medical science. Discover curious objects, from poison bottles to dragon's blood, and find out how there were used – and if they worked! Scientific demonstrations will be conducted by Project Enlightenment, McLean High School's historical reenactment society. Recommended for 3rd grade and older. Tours will be held every 30 minutes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Admission is $6 per person and reservations are required. Little Orphan Annie Playing at Mount Vernon Community Children's Theatre

Based upon the popular comic strip "Little Orphan Annie," this musical has won the hearts of children and adults alike with memorable songs including "Tomorrow" and "Hard-Knock Life." This beloved musical was nominated for 11 and won 7 Tony Awards including the 1977 Tony for Best Musical.
Mount Vernon's beloved children's theater will be staging the musical this weekend and next. Over 40 children from local schools will take part in the cast, introducing this popular musical to a new generation. Children's theater is a perfect introduction to theater for youngsters, who enjoy seeing kids their own age up on stage.
